My journey began at Texas A&M pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Using MatLab often made me realize how much I enjoyed the process of writing software. After graduating and experiencing the world a bit, I realized I would be much happier working on something I'm deeply passionate about, instead of keeping within the guardrails of formal education.

But for this career choice to make sense I needed to be sure I'd be working on true engineering problems, not just assembly-line development. That's when my partnership with Launch School came about. Our interests aligned wonderfully. Their mastery-based approach fosters a community where the spirit of excellence is contagious, with engineers who've landed at top companies not by cutting corners, but by building unshakeable foundations.

Through that community, I was lucky enough to partner up with some brilliant folks and together we built Vispyr, an open-source observability tool combining continuous profiling with telemetry. We built automated AWS deployment pipelines, created custom Grafana dashboards, integrated Tempo, Pyroscope, and Prometheus into a single CLI-driven deployment that gives you code-level visibility into production performance.
